Veronica Rae (Luna) Inojosa

Veronica “Roni” Rae (Luna) Inojosa, 61, of Jerome passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Twin Falls Center.

Veronica was born on April 9, 1962, in Jerome, Idaho, the daughter of Eugenio Ortiz and Mary Helen (Apodaca) Luna. She married Antonio Inojosa December 21, 1990. Veronica attended school in Jerome, where she lived and worked most of her life.  As a young adult, Roni worked in agriculture alongside her parents and family. She went on to work for several years as a cook at Jerome Cafe for Dan Wise and the late Earl Wise. She later settled in doing healthcare at Gooding Rehabilitation and Living Center, where she ultimately obtained her CNA. Roni was a caregiver by nature and continued her passion for what she did best, working for companies such as An Angel's Touch LLC and LINC.

She is survived by her children: Brandie (Alvarez) Hernandez, Andres “Andy” Alvarez, and Antonia Alvarez, her grandchildren; Samuel Cervantes, Isaac Hernandez, Angel Alvarez, Genevieve Hernandez, and Julian Hernandez, her great-grandchild; Zhavia James and her siblings Mike “Bubba” Garcia, Pedro “Pete” Luna Sr., Nicholas Garcia, Monica Luna Reyes, and Geanie Ferreira and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Mary Helen Luna, her brothers Abel, Larry, and David Luna, her sister Toni Gomez, paternal grandparents; Eugene and Petra Luna and maternal grandparents; Antonio Apodaca and Jessie Garcia.

Viewing will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00  pm at Demaray's Jerome Memorial Chapel.  Funeral Services will be held at Demaray’s Jerome Memorial Chapel on May 23, 2023 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Gene Kissinger officiating. Services will conclude at the chapel.  Family and friends are invited to gather at El Sombrero for a potluck immediately following the chapel service.
