SHAYLA DAWN THOMPSON

Shayla Thompson, 47, of Gooding, ID passed away on January 11th , 2024, after a 2-year battle with cancer.

She was born June 24, 1976, to Barry and Alice Thompson in Twin Falls, ID.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Barry and Alice Thompson; grandparents, Everett and Mae Thompson
of Gooding, ID, James Griggs of Paduca, KY and Nanalea Jones of Las Vegas, NV., and uncles Richard and Michael
Thompson of Gooding, ID.

She is survived by her daughter, Jacey Rowland and her sister Evette Owens (Ryan) of San Tan Valley, AZ.

If you truly knew Shayla, you knew she was a very independent, strong-willed woman who lived life by her own standards and loved her family and friends fiercely. She never once let her cancer define her and had unwavering strength even into her last days. “Your resilience is your humanity…to yield and not break, that is incredible strength.” Hannah Gadsby.
