Ralph E Taylor went to be with his wife on February 16th 2024.
Ralph was born on December 29th 1931 to Henry and Martha Taylor in Dodge City, Kansas. He was the oldest of 9 children. His siblings Fay, Sue, Ray, Mary, Jan, Vesta, Harold, Henry all grew up working on the family farm. Ralph graduated from high school in Blue Eye Missouri.
He started working at a furniture factory and married the love of his life Virgie Armstrong on February 13th 1952 in Berry Ville AK.. Ralph and Virgie moved to Idaho in 1954 and settled in Hagerman in 1959. They raised three sons Gene (Ann) Taylor - Arizona, Kenneth ( Sharlene) Taylor - Hagerman, and Pat Taylor - Hagerman.
Ralph has three grandkids and nine great grand kids.
Ralph worked 38 years and retired from the Idaho State Fish and Game. Ralph and his dog Annie had many adventures while working for the state driving truck delivering fish to rivers and lakes. Ralph was also a member of the Odd Fellows for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. When Ralph and Virgie settled in Hagerman, they bought their forever home where he used his craftsmanship to add on to the house with the help of his sons. Ralph spent many hours in his gardens whether it be vegetables, flowers or fruit trees. When his job allowed Ralph loved to drive a spud truck during harvest. He also loved to take his wife and kids on trips back to Missouri to see family and friends. Ralph liked to build things for his home and grandkids in his shop. He was a longtime member of the Hagerman United Methodist church. He made many friends and will be missed.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, wife and son Jimmy Taylor, four sisters and one brother. He is survived by his sons Gene, Kenny and Pat. Sister Jan ( Darrell) Hatfield bothers Harold Taylor, Henry (Reba) Taylor.
Celebration of life will be held at Hagerman United Methodist Church Friday March 1st, 2024 11am. Burial will follow at the Hagerman Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Demaray's Jerome Memorial Chapel.
