Pat Marie Aslett

Pat Marie Aslett, 80, Passed peacefully on Saturday December 30, 2023, with her family by her side.

 Patricia Marie Mehrer, born  June 18, 1943, in Rupert, Idaho. The Middle child of Clara Hayes and Rueben  Mehrer.

As a child she enjoyed playing with her cousins, swimming in the nearby canals and going to movies at the Wilson Theater.

  In 1957 the family moved to Jerome where Pat started the 9th grade.  There, she met her future husband and forever life partner, Keith.

On June 11, 1960,  She married Keith Aslett and they began their life adventure. They have 2 children, Kevin and Brenda.

Throughout the years they lived in 4 different states and many different towns in Idaho, settling back in Jerome.

Together they started 2 different businesses. Aslett Electric and Aslett Trenching.  Pat was the office manager and bookkeeper for both businesses. The backbone of the business'. After retirement they purchased a truck and drove long haul across the country. Pat was a excellent driver. 

They loved to travel and throughout the years, they, along with their children, had many adventures covering much of the United States.  Her favorite, was their yearly boating trips to Lake Powell and to the San Juan Islands.  In the winter they liked to go to Quartzsite, Arizona. Staying busy walking and relaxing.   She was Keith's co-pilot and flew the plane, she was a great skier, she snowmobiled and loved her ATV.  They rode motorcycles and took long cross country trips.  She was a great sport, and ready for any adventure.

There was not anything she could not do on her phone or the computer and she was a picture puzzle master, eagar babysitter and captive audience to Keith’s Karaoke. She was a beautiful and strong soul..

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Pat is survived by Keith, her husband of 63 years.

By her children, Kevin Aslett of Gooding, Brenda (Eric) Boggio, of Jerome.

One Sister, Dianne Henley, Jerome and Brother, Bill Mehrer, Las Vegas, Nevada and Sister-in-law Barbara Aslett. 

She was a very proud Grandmother to Derek Aslett, Jaycie Leavitt, Cody Boggio and BreeAnna Boggio

Doting Great Grandmother to  Chloe, Landon, Jaxson, Maislynn, Wyatt and Kolton. . 

 She is also survived by her cousins: Julie Poth, Fred Vogt, Cherryl Pou, and Lance Hayes.   She had many special nieces and nephews.

She had many Very special longtime friends.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made

to National Jewish Health 1400 Jackson St, Denver, CO
