Johnny Cabral

John Gary Cabral Johnny passed away on June 12, 2024, at his home in Twin Falls due to complications related to type 2 diabetes. He would have turned 60 on July 25, having been born in the Azores Island of San Jorge in 1964 to Joe and Maria Cabral. In 1965 at the age of seven months Johnny along with his parents and two of his older sisters immigrated to the San Joaquim Valley in California. Johnny, along, his three younger siblings, all helped on the family dairy. He always loved trucks, as a young boy he loved watching the hey truck, the milk truck and the feed trucks come in and out of the dairy. He obtained his Commercial Driver’s License as a young adult and fulfilled his dream incorporating his love for the fairy and his passion of driving trucks. Johnny spent most of his adult life as an owner and operator of trucks. Johnny spent most of his adult life as an owner of his trucks or working on one of his project cars When he wasn’t working or “tinkering” in his shop on one of his trucks, or working on one of his trucks, or working on one of his project cars, you could find him on the water in his boat, or jet skies. In the winter time, he enjoyed being out on his snow mobiles with friends. Johnny had a free spirit and he felt that sunny afternoon rides on his “Harley” was a way to feel the wind in his face, connect with nature and clear his head. He was famous for saying “ the one who dies with the most toys wins.” He definitely has a lot of toys. However, the real winners were all of us that knew him and loved him and got to call him brother, uncle, cousin, friend. We will miss him dearly.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Maria Cabral, his sister Lassalet (Cabral) Jiminez. He is survived by his three sisters and one brother; Mary Cabral of Graciosa, Azores, Dora (Jennifer) Cabral of Palm Desert, CA, Louisia (Shane) Guilliford, of Jerome, and Joey Cabral of Wendell, ID. His loss will also be felt by his many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will have a mass and celebration of life on Saturday, Sept, 28 2024 at 10:30 am at Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Center, 630 Falls Ave, Twin Falls, ID. A reception will follow and will be announced at the service for friends and family.
