Inez Darlene Wise

Inez Darlene Wise, July 23, 1935 – February 22, 2022
Inez Darlene Wise (Higgins), 86, of Jerome, passed away on February 22, 2022.

Inez was born on July 23, 1935, in Laramie, WY. She was the sixth child born to George and Marie Higgins. Her life was full of many memories with her parents and siblings. Throughout her childhood, her family moved many times. One move landed them in Glens Ferry, where she met the love of her life Earl Wise at an early age. The family's final move was to Boise where she graduated High School. Inez then attended the Nursing program through St. Alphonsus and Boise State to graduate as a Registered Nurse in 1954.
Inez’s career of nursing was her passion. She took pride in caring for others. Inez retired in 2010 after being a Registered Nurse for 56 years, a lifetime of care given to many.  
Inez and Earl were Married on November 4, 1957, and what an exciting 65 years it was! Not long after being Married, Inez became a mother to Cindy and Dan. Being the mother to Cindy and Dan was the highlight of her life!

Soon the family relocated to Pocatello, where they resided for 20 years. During these years they enjoyed many trips in the great outdoors that always included snowmobiling, skiing, fishing, hiking, camping, and riding motorcycles throughout the West Coast. 
After 20 years in Pocatello, the next adventures called and Inez and Earl moved to the Los Angeles area for 8 years with their English Sheepdog Winston. She loved all that sunny California had to offer with the beaches and wonderful weather. They then went on to Chicago for almost a year. 
Once the big city life ended, Inez and Earl settled down in Jerome, ID to be closer to family. The next chapter of life kicked into full gear taking on the role of “Nana”, and boy was it fun! Inez spent 18 fun filled years with Ashlie as her only grandchild, then along came her next jolt of joy with Daniel being born in 2004. She was blessed to have 36 years of being a Grandmother and she was amazing at it!
After Inez retired in 2010, she never slowed down. She was blessed to be very active throughout life and loved to go on walks every single day with Earl. She truly lived her life to the fullest and was never one to stay put too long. As Inez would say, “a busy person is a happy person”.  
Inez is survived by her husband Earl, her children Cindy (Kevin) North and Dan (Teena) Wise, her grandchildren Ashlie (Mobby) Markose and Daniel Wise, her great-grandson Aydan Markose, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Marie Higgins, her siblings George Higgins, Eunice Fisher, Garnet Bass, Emma Higgins, Hallie Higgins, and Bethy Tews. 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Demaray’s Jerome Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow at the Idaho Veteran’s Cemetery in Boise, on March 15, 2022, at 1:00 pm
