Bryan Dean Eggink, 63, of Buhl, and formerly of Jerome, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Desert View Care Center in Buhl.
Bryan was born on June 29, 1960, in Bellflower, CA, the son of Nelvin and Bernice Bekendam Eggink. He was raised and educated in Bellflower, CA and later graduated from Valley Christian High School in 1978. In December 1979, Bryan married his high school sweetheart, Renea at the Twin Falls Reformed Church.
Bryan was a dedicated worker, always helping run the family dairy farm. Milking cows, doctoring cows, or whatever needed to be handled on that day, he was always there working. He worked as a Co-Owner and Operator at Nelvin Eggink and Sons Dairy.
Bryan loved Jesus and studying God’s Word with other Bible students. He had a servant’s heart and was often seen ministering to the elderly population, often making them smile. He was charming and charismatic.
While living in California, Bryan loved the ocean and was a talented surfer. Most mornings before school, he could be found at Huntington Beach on the water. After his move to Idaho, he became an advanced snow skier and was a pioneer in bringing the mono ski to the slopes.
Bryan had a passion for speed and adventure whether it was motorcycles, snowboards, or skateboards.
Any time off from the dairy in the winter, he hit the slopes with his sister.
In more recent years, Bryan lived with his mother, helping with daily tasks. He also spent time loving and playing with their dog “Lizzy”.
Bryan is survived by his mother, Bernice Eggink of Buhl, and formerly of Jerome, and his sister Holly (and family) of Donnelley. He was preceded in death by his wife Renea, his father, and his brother.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
